just wondering if anyone has heard anything about redbird lately? last i heard it was going public but i haven't heard anything in a while. any info would be great!!!!

I hear the same rumors. Last I heard, the state was taking it over for our use. I'll believe it when I see it. This state sucks. Unless of course you want to walk your dog in the park. They've opened up those stupid "bark parks" everywhere. Horse trails, bike trails, walking trails, and not one damned acre to ATV on.

I'm moving.

I don't know about redbird, but there are 2 new public riding places near Bedford. One is about 12 miles east of Bedford on Highway 58. The other is between Bedford and Bloomington, just off 37. I have not been to either, but it's at least somewhere new to ride.

 

Last I heard was about a year and a half ago was that Redbird was going publi in 2000 but that has passed. Something has been going on there like cleaning up trails. About a year ago there were tons of dirt dropped there and everyone was riding over them. I havent been there in a while but there are still riders there. I heard that all from a guy that is part of D.I.R.T. of Indiana. I believe his name was Gary Delong who helped open up Lawrence County off-road park. Check out the site www.abateofindiana.org . His email is on there somewhere I think. I am going to the new Lawrence County Park today so I will ask about redbird and see whats up and post what I find out. The guys out there are super cool and willing to help out. Off to the Park!!!
