Had a good appointment with the doc yesterday. I got the plaster splint removed and today I get a special boot to wear for the next two months.

Hey everyone, long time no talk. We are going to sand lakes this weekend for a long weekend. If anyone is going to, look for a green KFX 400 and a DVX 400. Stop and say hello. See ya.

Tag Fees!!!

We are reissuing the House Alert to all of their OHV Positive constituents
again today. Please email BOTH of your House legislators a second time
RIGHT NOW before they vote on it.

You will also be getting a separate CLOUT Alert regarding email you need to
send to your WA State Senator. PLEASE DO ALL THREE IMMEDIATELY!

YOUR PERSONAL House Representatives will be voting on it VERY SOON!!

This Bill will STEAL almost $10 million dollars of YOUR GAS TAX REFUND and
ORV TAG money that you were promised would be spent to provide and promote
ORV opportunities in WA State when the ORV users VOLUNTARILY worked with the
Legislature in the early 1970's to DONATE their personal gas off road fuel
gas tax refund (owed to you by the WA State Constitution) and gave up YOUR
RIGHT to a refund in exchange for having the State promise to manage that
money FOR ORV purposes. Let's get them to change this one line before it
goest to the House Floor for a vote!

YOUR PERSONAL LEGISLATOR who will be voting on this very soon, may not even
know the history of your VOLUNTARILY DONATED NOVA funds.

In fact, they may not even know this language is buried in this almost 500
page Bill.

YOU need to inform them about this proposed theft of YOUR MONEY RIGHT NOW!

Your personal legistlator will not even read email from someone who is not
able to vote for or against them. However, they WILL get YOUR email within
minutes after you use the link below to contact them as YOU CAN VOTE on
whether or not they remain in the Legislature and the link below
automatically verifies that fact when you use it. In fact, YOU MAY BE THE
ONLY CONSTITUENT OF THEIRS that will contact them within the next 24 hours!

The WA OHV Alliance (www.wohva.org) and every other off road organization in
WA State is doing everything within their power to get this language removed
from this Bill. However, the only thing that really counts is when YOU
personally tell your personal legislator what YOU want them to DO!

Just DO IT NOW before you close your email.

Please contact your legislator, Representative Kirk Pearson, immediately!
You can visit your legislator's website immediately by clicking this link:
Rep. Kirk Pearson. Sample text that you can copy and
paste into the EMAIL link ON THAT SITE is provided below, or write your own.
It is vital that you make your voice heard on this important issue! (Please
USE the EMAIL link SHOWN on the LINKED SITE in this alert.)

Just CLICK on the green colored "E-mail" hot link right below your
legislator's phone numbers on the page provided in this alert.

Do NOT use regular Internet email as that is very unlikely to get to your
legislator in time.

Please call the Legislative Hotline: 1-800-562-6000 If by some chance your
legislator has chosen not to put an "E-Mail" link on their personal web
page. Read your message to them for this representative and also complain
about the lack of an EMAIL link on their legislative home page.

from this list, please contact the CLOUT Administrator at
mailto:clout@getclout.org. Forward this notice freely to your associates,
and get them involved, too!

Have your PRO-OHV friends get their own personalized CLOUT Alerts by having
them send an email to mailto:clout@getclout.org with "CLOUT" in the subject
line along with their Name, their voting Zip Code AND your name as a
reference. That's all there is to it. Get them to do it TODAY so motorized
recreation will have an even stronger voice in Olympia.

SAMPLE TEXT (use if it you like!) You can just copy and paste it into the
form on the hot linked site:
(NOTE - It is even more effective if you add some of your own personal
words!)

Enter {CON; NOVA theft PSHB 1244} in the Message Subject: box just above
where you enter your detailed message

Please insure the language in section 805 of HB 1244 that transfers almost
$10 million from the Nonhighway and Off-Road Activities (NOVA) Program to
the general fund, is REMOVED from that Bill BEFORE you vote on it!

Please take a minute to review the 2007 Joint Legislative Audit and Review
Committee findings on p-137 of the pdf file
http://www1.leg.wa.gov/reports/Preliminary_ProposedFinals/Expedited%20Report
%20PROPOSED%20FINAL.pdf
for proof that the current language found in PSHB
1244 regarding this transfer of funds, would VIOLATE the 18th Amendment to
the WA State Constitution that you have personally sworn to uphold!

The proposed budget you are considering, on page 165, shows the raiding of
ALL of our Off Road Vehicle (ORV) funds for the general budget! This was
never agreed to and cannot be tolerated by the over 250,000 ORV users in
this State of which I am one!. For far too long various groups have
redirected ORV funds for non-ORV programs, thereby reducing available
financing for ORV parks and maintenance that support this great family
recreational opportunity.

Please PREVENTthis taking of funds to balance the state’s budget which will
result in the THEFT of funds voluntarily donated and ENTRUSTED to YOU so
they will be managed specifically to SUPPORT ORV opportunites.

These funds are protected by the Washington State Constitution. Pursuant to
Article II, Section 40 these monies must be used for their intended purpose
or refunded. The State Supreme court has repeatedly reaffirmed this
requirement.

The site http://www.wohva.org contains a link on the first page to the
COMPLETE NOVA HISTORY for your information!

Please refer to http://www.nmaoffroad.org/landuse/novaposition.pdf if you
want even more information regarding the history of the NOVA funding.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Thanks for the Heads Up on this.

Just emailed my Representatives to notify them of this issue and my opinions.
