I believe we have a small deductible for both of our insurances, but that's for regular doctor visits. When it comes to surgeries, it's all 100% paid, but for every prescription, there's a $5.00 co-pay, still not bad considering some scripts are $100.00 a bottle

Should have had her just tough it out and have the baby at home like the old days, ya know, just birth her in the barn then get the wife back to doing her chores after a couple hours

With my second shoulder dislocation I was transported to the hospital with the Fire Department aid car, I was in the ER for about 1.5 hours and saw the doc for about 15 minutes.
My bill was:
Aid car $700.00 - Just the ride, no meds
Doc - $1,300.00
xrays - $280.00
ER hospital charge $3,900.00

Nearly as much as the surgery on my foot!

Good Morning PSAR!

Been gone for a week and there is no way to ketchup with the goings on of this group. Way too many pages to try to read them all and maintain some home life as well.

I hear you folks about the cost of medical. Short stint in the hospital last december for pneumonia, e-room, three days in hospital, was over 60 grand. Between our insurance and medicare we ended up paying $26.00 out of pocket. Got to have that insurance. Would have cost way more out of pocket if I had not been admitted from the e-room.

Had a great time at the beach, rented a house and two of our kids, their spouses and a total of nine dogs plus SWMBO and I still had plenty of room to rattle around. Nice full horizon view of the ocean and about a half block walk to the beach. Gated community just north of Lincoln City about 10 miles and the beach was not crowded at all.

Got home friday late and spent yesterday quad riding. Pulled the field mower around for about four hours getting the grass and weeds back under control. We now have about five acres we keep mowed so it takes a bit of time.

SWMBO and I are going to The Dalles for lunch and the new Star Trek movie today. Also going to pick up a load of fence wire and some post. Gotta have the stuff to make the new dog compound, apparently a half acre of front yard is not enough room for the little darlings to roam around in.

Have a great day.

Mike

I just meant from our "base camp" where we park the cars, to the porta potties. Now, i know there are no porta potties at the Gravel Pit but we can make believe.
