I drive it everyday that I actually work, heck, it has 13,500 miles on it. Do I have to wait another 2.5 yrs to get better mileage? figure I'll have 27,000 in 5 yrs, would it be broken in by then????????[img][/img]</end quote></div>

My answer for question #1 on ideas for sustainable funding:
Offer a vehicle license plate that represents the ORV community and the extra charge for it put into the ORV funding.

For funding I suggested that EVERYONE using DNR land should have to be licensed just like we are required to have our ATV's licensed.
Every hiker, mountain biker, horseback rider, kayaker, etc.....
They should have to pay the same amount we have to pay every year and if they don't get a license (permit) they should receive a ticket just like we would if we had no tabs or expired tabs.
I also said that our money for ATV tabs should not be used on trails we cannot access and use.
Fat chance any of that will happed though.

That is a great idea! I'd do it in a heartbeat for my trucks.

Good Morning PSAR!
Lots of good ideas about filling out the info sheet for DNR. I'll fill that out this morning and use these thoughts. I'm also going to mention how Oregon and Idaho are cashing in on the ATV dollars with well equipped riding areas and use of local roads for ATV riding. There are many areas that could use these tourist dollars to bolster the local economy. It's so bad in this state I've taken to going to Oregon when I just want to get away and do some riding. The Morrow County park is about two hours easy drive from here and has any kind of trail you want with very nice facilities. No shower facility yet last fall but they tell me it's going to be done this spring. They even have a free pressure washer to clean off your bike.
Hap, that's too many hours on the road. Old men need nap times. Hope the job market loosens up for those that are looking, sure isn't anything available in this area. They have shut the windmill projects down due to the weather and wet ground. Even the local rock pits are laying off folks and I've never seen this happen. Friend of mine is on layoff for the first time in over twenty years. First time in his life he has drawn rocking chair money.
