Good day for riding... except riding snow and ice on a bike can be challenging..
Just ordered up some studded tires for ice and snow. Anyone up for next weekend? I can't imagine what it would be like to ride with some traction on ice with a bike.
First two foot deep puddle had some hidden surprises... picked up a stick that wedged between my front tire and radiator causing me to put the foot down.. however putting that foot down on glare ice made things halarious. Felt like I broke thru the ice on a lake and went in.
Ride conditons for the day
60 % snow
20 % ice
20% dirt
Lot more snow up north that hasn't melted off.
Hammered the throttle on the pavement and hit 90 mph and had just clicked into 6th, was enough for me for the day.

Hows the hip today??? That looked like it hurt a bit...</end quote></div>
Hips feels OK.. just a black-N-Blue mark.
What bothered me this morning was my color-bone. Not sure I remember hitting it on the ground but then again now that I think of it, my arm protector seperated from my chest protector in one of the mishaps.
My bike did its own wipe out today without me on it!!!!! Was letting it run while on the kick-stand in the drive way on rough concrete.. Evidently the bikes vibration caused it to start moving on the concrete and then the kick stand caught a crack in the concrete.. and the European auto retract kicked in with the bike smacking the ground. I now have a two finger clutch lever thanks to the unintentional mod.
