Default Utah Riders/campers

Hey Guys- I'm looking for a good place to camp, close to riding, so I don't have to trailer in the Moab area. I have a P/U camper that's self contained. I don't like commerical camp grounds if I can avoid. State would probably be ok. I've never ridden around Moab but have been there once. Thanks for ANY help you can give me.

There are a lot of great places to ride near moab, the hard part is picking a place so you don't have to move your camp. I would say N38 37.781 W109 48.109 if you have a GPS will give a good starting point. If not this is up on a hill just off highway 313 and Spring Canyon Rd. There wasn't any camping fees in that spot last time I was there. There are no trees, or improvements, but you can ride from camp to Hey Joe Mine, Spring Canyon point, Bartlett Wash, Hidden Canyon Overlook, Hidden Canyon, Bartlett Canyon Overlook, Ten Mile Canyon, Ten Mile Point, Rainbow Terrace, Mineral Point, Mineral Canyon, Seven Mile Rim trail and the 3d Jeep trail. Things to see Secret Spire, Dellenbaugh Tunnel, Tusher Tunnel, and Hey Joe Mine, just to name a few. From this point you could ride all the way to the town of Green River if you wanted. White sand Sand dunes is about half way to Green River. Most of these trails are fairly easy for ATVs. Hey Joe Mine, Rainbow Terrace, 3D trail, and Seven Mile Rim can be tricky in spots.

Now you have me wanting to go. You pay my gas down there and I will be your guide. LOL

If you have a garmin GPS I could E-mail you a GDB or MPS file with waypoints.

Gemini Bridges and Bull Canyon are on the other side of 313 or off of 191, but you would need to trailer the bikes. It would be a great ride on your first or last day. The ride is better from highway 191.

Have fun, if you need more info let me know.
