where do you ride in or near rutland vermont
Hello, there is a good sized trail that goes from Killington, north to Barnard and back down to Stockbridge. The parking is as follows: From Bethel on Rt. 107 West. Go .4 miles past the Peavine Restaurant and take a left onto Stony Brook Rd. Go 3.4 miles to Davis Hill Rd. and take 1st driveway on the left. This information is from a VASA map I got from Locust Creek Outfitters in Sharon? Vermont. They are North of Barnard at the intersection of Route 12 and 107. One thing about VT ATV riding is that you must have liability insurance for your quad(s) because some of the trail connectors are on public roads.

I forgot to mention that I tried this trail when they first made it. It was right after they took the log skidder and bulldozed the trailer. They hadn't gotten to making bridges but I figured I'd go for a ride. I hit a depression with slightly wet clay mud and stopped short. This was with the Xplorer 4x4. The mud wasn't wet enough to get to the hard bottom or dry enough to shoot across. It took a lot of tugs with a tow strap to get out. They probably have bridges made now.
