I would like to do some snow riding. Inyo has an "open unless posted closed" policy (unlike San Bernardino), so I figure almost any dirt road will be open. I was going to try the area North of Mammoth. Has anybody ridden there? In my local mountains, they lock the gates during winter. Does that happen in Inyo? Do you run into nasty XC skiers or snowmobilers? Any info will be helpfull. Thanx!
