I'd fight it. If you can get a trial date then the officer will have to go to court too. Now it ends up costing them a lot more then the ticket is worth. Sounds like you could win it too and if they're losing money enough someone in gov't will sit up and take notice. Then they'll either permit it or remove the signage.

A lot of times the officer won't even come to the court due to time constraints. If this happens you usually win. It's all a matter of whether or not a day's lost wages sitting in court is worth the price of the ticket.
