You should have seen how the Mudlite XTRs were paddling water when I broke through a thin layer of ice with 10" of water between layers. I shoveled at least 50 pounds worth of ice onto my X2. They are great tires to get down to hard pack as long as the snow or mud isn't too deep. I told you that you might have been surprised how the Holeshots worked in the snow, but you had to change them, huh? Although they probably wouldn't work too well now that they've been broiled.

Well, I haven't heard anything...

Not sure if it's worth trying LMFT or not... Here's today's report...

Trails are open again for ATV usage, now that rain has passed. Conditions are hard and icy. Riding not recommended, use caution if you go out.
I'm planning on playing around at a tiny spot in Douglas,MA with a friend and his 12 yr old kid at some point this weekend but no firm plans yet.

hehe- yep, When I was stuck in the ice, they were just digging deeper and making it worse- I'd say the holeshots did handle the snow better then the 589's- anything over 10" of snow and I think a paddle / holeshot type of tire does best- but I do deep snow riding maybe 3-4 times per year, the rest of the time I'm playing in the mud, dirt & trails, so the 589's will work out nicely in about 2 weeks

I run the 20" maxxis rzr and a set of 22" (huge ) realtors on my ex. Both work great in the winter for a sport quad. The rzr tires are pretty much the same as the holeshot but they last so much longer.

Just waiting for all the snow to melt.
Kinda funny cudavic lives just down the road from me and we ride the same trails. When I go Iam going to see if he wants to come allong. Maybe if I ask nice he will let me put my saw (MS 310 with 20" bar) and some fuel in his RZR.
