Yeah, I like the ones on my son's Renegade but would have to modify my footwells more than buying a piece of 7/8" aluminum. They're more expensive to buy, even on eBay.

was also thinking- what if you use narrow channel on the bottom just to fit in the stock footwell, then weld another "wider" low profile peg on top of it- Would look nice and give you a sweet wide peg to support your heel instead of a narrow one. I can weld it up for you- I have a nice mig setup at the house...

I welded up some nice 2-up foot pegs for my BF-

I need to have wide pegs or my feet start to hurt- look at these bad-*** kick-up pegs. You could just weld a narrow channel under these kick-ups to make them fit- the pegs cost $112- nice & wide tho-

The way I'm thinking of going is going to cost about $25 or so. And the process would probably be an hour, hour and a half at most. Appreciate the offer. If I don't like how it comes out I'll be sure to send you a PM.

Not as good as I thought they would be in the snow- The deep lugs on the 589's punch right through the snow- instead of sitting "on top" of the snow- they really dig in and make a hole- I think they are more suitable for mud & dirt then snow.

Yeah, I've never felt a brake like that before but it definitely works

wasn't really sliding- they were digging. When riding in deep snow- it's better to be on top of it, not digging through it. The deep lugs on the 589's were digging too much- like a backhoe.
