wats up guys im new to the forum and the riding thing. me and 5 of my buddies all got bikes and ride in RI but usually get kicked out of the spots and theres no trails that you can ride because the cops are riding on the trails now with 4x4 polaris ready to tow bikes.[own expirience] would like to know if theres any place close to RI or MA line to ride. we all got the bill of sales and titles for the bikes but they aint registered dont know if thats a problem? If anyone got a backyard trail or w.e me and my buddies would like to ride and would pay to park or w.e in someone ones yard to ride. would really appriciate it all the feedback guys. im open to any good spots and anyone that wants to come along and ride then its cool as well. we got 1 400ex 4 350 warriors 1 350 banshee and a dirtbike i really dont know what size. anyone down?

the only places in Ma are located in the western part of the state and this is the last weekend to ride before they close for the season. Located in beartown, lee and pittsfield areas, no there isnt much left and most of us have started riding in NH or Maine.

You do need to register in ma, not sure what the out of state cost is.

welcome to the site-

in addition to what 1eep said above;
There are a few local central mass trails that you could find atv's riding on, but they are all illegal. The few local spots that are around and unpatroled would quickly become patroled if there was a group of 5-6 sport quads zipping around...

Your best bet is to join us riding up in NH just over the mass border- Places like LMFT, pisgah, jericho & the claremont nh area all allow atv's.
But- you need to spring for the $75 reg fee which I think is good for 14 months. Your reg fees help support the atv friendly gov't and keeps the trails open. 90% of the riding we do as a group is in nh or maine.

I dont think I had a bill of sale for nh- I don't recall was pretty easy and you can do it almost anywhere.

bill of sale or title in mass- I think it's $35 (plus mass tax if you live here)

I'd save your money in regards to mass reg- unless you plan on driving the 4 hours round trip to ride a small amount of trails in the western part of the state- it's really not worth it IMHO. Not to mention- my mass reg didn't even get me out of a $250 citation when I was riding on property that I had permission to be on. and it cost me $150 to appeal it twice!!!

No title needed for NH, just Vin, make, model and your drivers license. It's $74 and is good until July when you'll have to renew. They make a registration in the spring (may) for $12 more that get's you 14 months instead of 12.

Mass you need BOS, serial/vin #, application, $30, sperm sample, retinal scan...oops sorry got carried away there. They just want to make sure you paid uncle sam his share

welcome to the forum sefunx-

Your best bet is to go to a local atv dealer and ask to try one of their used atv's- explain you're a serious buyer and you're looking at different models.
I don't think you'll have much luck getting someone to allow a total stranger with no bigbore 4x4 riding experience on their $6000- $8000 atv
