Massachusetts trails

I have a quick question about Mass.
I was at Fishers ATV World reunion this weekend and there was a guy who drove down from Boston and all he did was complain about the state and their atv laws. He had his 2 kids (8-9?) and he said if he lets them ride and is caught they will take their bikes and then the kids??
This is why he drove 8 hours to Rock Run ATV park this last weekend.
Seems out of line for the state to pass laws like that.
Could anyone shed some light on this for me.
BTW he seemed like a nice guy and the kids were really well behaved. So I dont think he was full of bull but that seems extreme.
Thanks I will check back for an answer.

It seemed pretty extreme to me but that is what he said. I am just glad I live in a state where I dont have to deal with any B.S.
Everything we do in life has some inherent risk. Hell I rolled mine 2 weeks ago but that is why I have insurance and padding.
That same roll over could have been a slip and fall in the bathroom you just never know.
That guys big thing is there is nowhere to ride for him and the kids unless they leave the state. How can a State say you as a parent cannot allow your child to ride? If you find out anything about taking the kids if he is caught I would like to know since I am curious.
Thanks.

A few of the regulars from this thread rode LMFT in southern NH today. Pics are in an album on my profile page. Details of the trip are on the LMFT thread started by sotto66.
Its a crazy fun place to ride and not that far from us. I hope to ride with some of you out there soon (I'm looking at you Beergut and Jetblac !)

just depressed-

had a major failure on the outty (rear suspension)- so I bailed! sold it last night for $6k...
that 650 was my favorite so far!I've been on a war path searching for a decent 05+ honda rincon in the $5k range, but no luck- I've scoured every atv ad on the east coast from NC to Bahhh Habahh, Maine - everything is sold or a scam. I was hoping to ditch the CVT trans for a more durable and less maintenance traditional trans like the honda has- even though it means giving up the front diff lock...
I'm looking at a 2008 sportsman 500 (300 miles) with some nice features for $3800 (I know, I know- CVT!) - which would leave me some x-tra $$ to fix the wife's car and still give me a nice solid atv for the trails.
