Good Riding Around Knoxville
#2
If your Bear is a 4x4, and you don't mind a couple hours driving, check out Tellico OHV area. My friends have been and raved about it! I am going this weekend to camp and RIDE! I'll let ya know what I thought about it. There are other places in the Smokies too. Read the winch test feature article back at the main page. It'll give a a good glimpse of Tellico. Here is a link for directions from Knoxville.

BBall,
Since you are new to ATVing I would suggest finding some folks to ride with. As luck would have it, the Windrock ATV Club is within 25 miles of KTown. We meet the last Tuesday of every month at the Norwood Boys Club on Hwy 62 in Oliver Springs.
Email me and I'll let you know when our next ride is. We're mostly doing trail maintenance and clean-up rides getting ready for our big Fall Ride. It's a little bit of work with a lot of riding.
Tellico, Cherokee National Forest in North Carolina, is a fabulous place to ride. Very challenging trails that are clearly marked with difficulty ratings. Our club rode there about a month ago and except for the hail storm had a great time. Some of the folks went back over the laborday weekend for some more fun.
If you really want to get into riding, I would suggest joining our club. You'll always have someone to ride with, there is safety in numbers and there will always be someone that knows the trails.
Hope to hear from you,

I'm glad to see some TN folks around. I'm from the other end of the state. Just a little northeast of Jackson, TN. Good to see ya'll. I'll be home for good in the spring. This island life is getting old.
