I am determined to ride the Barrens this weekend (Nov 13) but don't know exactly where to go. Where can you park safely and ride? Help!!! If I do find a place on my own I will post it next week.

I have been trying to find a good place to park at the pine barrens for years. It wasnt a big deal when I had my enduro because I could just ride in anywhere but now with the TRX250 on a trailer it isnt so easy. If you find a decent place to park let me know. If you let me know when you are going maybe I can meet you out there too.

Actually I did find a place to ride. It wasn't what I had in mind but it was fun. Off of Rt. 72 you will find the NJ Off Road Vehicle Park. You do have to pay but it is legal and was fun. It was $35 per day or $135 for a year. They have a track and some trails. It is only 256 acres, but I would say it was worth while. I will continue to look for free riding areas in the barrens. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I went a couple of months ago and we drove into a very wide and long hard packed dirt rd. It was right off rt 47 down close to wildwood. It wasent a leagel place to ride, but when the cops and park rangers drove by thay never said a word and just left us alone. I was only there once so i can't rember the exact directions. I will try and get them from one of the guys we followed down and post them.

directions to tuckahoe: Coming from philaelphia take rt 55 to the end do not take the tuckahoe exit at the end of 55 it turns into a 2 lane road u will drive about 4-5 miles till u see a gas station and a wawa i forget the st name but make a right at that light and at the next light make a right on rt 47 follow that for about 1-2 miles and keep an eye out for a dirt road on the left and drive up the road till u see the entrance for THE PIT and find a parking spot.

This place is owned by a sand mining co which is about 15 mins by bike to get there. I have been riin there for 5 years now and have seen any rangers for a while.

Thanks. I am somewhat familiar with that stretch of Rt. 47. I'm sure I can find it. If you see a guy on a Scrambler 500 trying to break his neck that would be me.
