I live in Northern Jersey on the NY state border, and there is no place to ride legally that I know of. They have cracked down and closed down three pits in my town. Does anyone know anywhere that you don't get hassled, I'm sick of hiding my truck in the woods.

 

Where in jersey do you live? I to live right on the border of NY outside the town of warwick. What pits did thay close down?

 

I live in West Milford...where are you from Vernon? If you ever rode in West Milford you might remember Oleary's(by Shoprite), there was also a pit in Oak Ridge where the state visits at least twice a day, and Wallisch estates where nobody dares to go anymore. The cops are very unsympathetic and the Rangers have ego complexes!!!!!

 

If you feel like takeing a little
ride north up to Newburg there is a
place that is legal. It's not the bigest place but it's not bad.

I live on Kitchell Lake over by the high school...are you riding this winter? I'm all screwed up and making havoc on my lake much to my neighbors dissatisfaction!!!!

 

you can ride in south jersey at the offroad park by exit 63 on the pkway. or you can try 2 locations in mahwah. behind the sharp building on 17north(small area to ride in and to many yahoos get boring arfter an hour) or you can try stag hill(LARGE area to ride in with diverse terrain that includes hills, mud bogs, a few fast sections and lots of rocks. don't ride unless you have skids) just be aware that hikers, mountain+ dirt bikers, people on horseback and some jeeps can always be found here

 

Any of you guys go to Maybrook, NY? I live in Greeenwood Lake and have gone up there a few times without incident. There are woods, mud, RR tracks, and some nice flats for top end blasts. It is behind the Yellow Freight Terminal right off I-84. By the way any of you guys from WM interested in some Ice Ovals on GWL? I am trying to get a group together the weekend after the Superbowl, they always plow and oval out by Castle Tavern and the cops don't hassle us. Let me know if you are or if you guys do any racing/riding on the ice over in Jersey.
