SE Oklahoma (Beavers Bend)Need Info
#11
We rode there in August 1999. Don't remember the area but it was near and below the Dam of the lake. Really a pretty area. After a long hot ride, we got in the river below the dam and cooled off. The water had to be 68 or so as it was coming off the bottom of the lake. There is trout in that area and we did some fishing. You can buy fishing licenses in town. We stayed in a nice cabin in the woods near that area. I think the name was Wipperwill cabins.
I was worried about riding where we would not be wanted so I called the Forest Ranger station and they said it was O.K. He said that he rides that area all the time. That area is all timber land and we rode timber trails for 3 days and never saw anyone. It is a huge area.
The guys I went with had been several times before. Never had any problems.. Let me know if you need more information and I will try to get it for you..
