Default First time traveling to atv

We are going to Pigeon Forge over the Labor day weekend and decided to take out atvs and spend a day riding. We decided to go to Coal Creek. I did a little bit of homework on here and some people said that it is crowded and people are better off going to Royal Blue. Is it worth the extra 1/2 hour drive since we are already driving an hour and a half to get to Windrock.
More importantly what do we need to pack for the trip? I am bringing a small toolbox to lock in the car with tools I hope I won't need.I plan on bringing gas cans to leave locked in the vehicle so we can refill the ATVs. I bought a tire plug kit. We plan on packing a lunch and snacks with water.
And if anyone has been to either park and can help out with what they have on sight that would be greatly appreciated.
thanks, Sean
