Hey, I'm new to this forum and live in NW, Ohio, Findlay/Fostoria area. I ride a Yamaha 225 tri-moto, and my 8 year old duaghter has a 125 ATC Honda. We do alot of farm lanes and trails through the woods on our rides. I would love to find a better place to ride that didnt have alot of crazies racing around.

crashinmatt and others, go to atvracers.com. There click on track information (these are for the official district 14 atv racing website) there are atleast 4 mx tracks in the southern michigan area. Read the rules, regulations and requirements for each track to make sure you can RUN YOUR machine there. Since there are no legal place for us to ride in lower michigan, the only ones close are the MOUNDS in Mt Morris, ($5-$8 to get in) 200 acre (lots of mud w/ some 3d terraine. Cedar Creek (25 mile loop) on the west side of the state (south of Silver Lake sand dunes).
ckelly78z,
There is a small place (5 mile loop, Maumee St. Forest) in Swanton, Ohio just west of the Toledo airport, the parking lot side is the better loop system of the two (all one way)and there is also a nice run if you cross the creek !!!

Logleaper,

Which creek are you talking about? The trail with all the banked curves? I've been riding at Maumee for 14 years and thought I knew all the trails. Did you find a new one? =)

moto93 that's the one with the high banks on the tree trunks, I also see some of the OTHER side of the creek had some posted signs to stay from going west back towards the lot, very muddy/trees that way, I even seen that the sand bowl on the west side was closed also (this is poorly mark),I have taken a few trails off the main on the west side (being bored after a few hours) that only end up at dead ends, though i did find one with a great mud run, leads toward NW corner off loop by farm/2 track/forest road. I've only been there twice and live smack between the two (mounds/maumee st for.)bout an hour drive either way. Some of us are riding the mounds I believe (maybe ?? more northern also - huron) this sat around 10:00/11:00 join us if you'd like too.....

LogLeaper,

There's also a nice trail on the east side near the pond that makes a big loop north, then west, and ends up near the parking lot. The best riding there is off the main trails.

Thanks for inviting me to the Mounds but with temps only in the 20's and it being a 130 mile drive for me I think I'll pass. Maybe I'll see you at Maumee sometime. Have Fun!
