ANF-Marienville hows the trails?

Has any one been up riding this winter yet? Are the trails all ice? If they're ice can you make it up the hill climb on the ATV Marienville loop?
Thanks

I went down to timberline/marienville twice and rocky gap once this winter. As of last week, the trails had a good base of ice and snow on top so the ride was pretty smooth. I had no trouble on my 4x4 making it up the marienville hill but my buddy on his Warrior 2x4 with blackwater tires couldn't come close to making it up the hill.

The bike side only. The ATV side is open (weather permitting) according to the website, http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/allegheny/

Scram,
It's open alright, we had a group of 14 up there last weekend in 8 inches of snow! Might be a bit soupy now, but it's alive and well until the spring thaw arrives and they close it down. We have another group going up....check the forums. As stated, only the Bike trail is closed for season.

Extreme- I lost you email & I tried the profile extreme400ex@home.com but it didn't work. I wanted to hook up w/ you when you go up to Marienville plus I had a couple questions on your camper since you got me thinking thats the way to go.
Thanks

Jim,
Sorry about that...att@home went down the toilet. New email can be sent to extreme@paatving.com
As to Marienville, snow's all gone but we just posted a story from last weekend with 8 inches of fresh powder! Hit the link below.
