The theft only seems to occur at night there, the local High school kids like to party there on weekend nights. I don't think I've ever heard of any theft during daylight on the weekends. You could always park at my place but its a 4 mile ride to 5A and you only hit a few paved roads the rest is dirt backroads and trails, thats how I get there.

EMT - Is that parking invitation for everyone? We have about 40 or so bikes coming out to 5a for New Years Day, you got room? J/K. If you would like to join us we will be in the parking lot about 9:30am. We mostly have 4x4's so we are gonna be playing in the mud, so maybe you want to bring a 4x4? Otherwise you will leave us in the dust. Hope you can make it.

My truck and trailer was the one that was stolen from the parking lot on a Friday night. When we got there the following weekend with a bunch of quads to search the woods some more, there were two more that were stripped. Kinda scary, but they had been there overnight, the owners were camping.

Never heard a word on my truck or trailer since.

I'd love to come out on new years day BUT I have to work [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] Like I was saying the night is a bad time to park out there BUT if your interested in a night ride out there we could always leave from my house. Lightman shoot me a e-mail when your ready, the wife leaves on Jan 6th for a week so my free time is all mine. And this Saturday and Sunday I'll be out there.

 

I meant you might want to bring one of your 4x4's, we might ride out there this weekend but I am not sure yet... If we do I will get in tough with you and we can all meet up. Do ever go up toward Ocala/Paisley areas to ride? I dont know your work schedule but January 18th we have having one of our club rides up there somewhere, we have not decided exactly where yet. I would love to meet up for a night ride out there, with a safe place to park. We use to go there a lot at night, until I lost my truck. We have always had a lot of fun out there at night.

 

Great, my wife and I will be there Saturday and I'll be out there on Sunday. Haven't been to Ocala yet but the wife wants to go soon and I'll ask her about the 18th. I need to see if we are both off, she's a Firefighter-Paramedic also except she works for a different department and on a different scedule.

 

how far is 5a from ft lauderdale? I'm going down there this weekend. Rode in big cypress today, it was killer!

 

I'm not sure how far in miles but depending on how fast you drive I'd say its only 2-3 hours away.

 

'only' 2-3 hrs huh? -==] The last two days i've been averaging 75-80 mph towing the quad. MAN do those things create some aerodynamic drag. I got my worst fuel mpg ever recorded! =]
