I need a good place to ride near chicago besides the badlands, that has a mx track, trails, and maybe some dunes.

 

only other place is silver lake sand dunes for sand. it about 4.5 hours from chicago.

I don't think you'll find too many places in Illinois with dunes. There is an MX track in channahon near Joliet there is also a place in Ottawa, I have never been there but from what I heard there is a mx track and some trails. Both are like an hour from downtown Chicago. The site for the Channahon one is www.mxjoliet.com, I can't remeber the one for Ottawa, I have it somewhere, when I find it I'll post it here.

Looking for a place to ride? I live in Batavia. We go out to Wedron - by Ottawa. They have a MX track and trails on 120 acres. It should only be about 25 mins from you. $20/day for adults $10/day for children. Its called Fox Valley Off Road. You can find its web site at http://megacross.com/

You might try Haspin Acres its about 6 hours from Chicago but well worth the drive. They have about 900 acres two motorcross tracks, awesome trails, and you can camp there if you want. Just make sure you lock your stuff up tight. Its $12 a day.

 

There is a group of us going to be at Haspins this Saturday (3-2-02) if you want to come down. I will be in a '01 Ranger, dark green w/ a Warrior.
Should be a good time.
