Planning an early spring road trip down there does anyone know what the weather is like in late march or early april? Hate to drive 10 hours and find out we can't ride.

Hatfield McCoy has a message board - there are several people on it that live down there. They are always very helpful and answer questions. Todd Nenni is one, and Tina Goodman is the other one. If you don't know their website it is www.trailsheaven.com We are going down again in November. It is definately worth the trip.

If weather is your concern, I would advise late april. One weekend in april can be sunny and 65 and the next it could be snowing and 35-40. If you need any help or have any questions, just post them here and I will be glad to help out.

The weather here is quite unpridictable. If you come in march bring WARM clothes. I have never seen a day here that you couldn't ride If a freak accident happens and the trails are closed go to Gilbert Furniture in Gilbert and ask for Andy, and I will be glad to take you on the trails that are not part of the Hatfield McCoy trail system.
