So. Calif.-Behind Cal State San Bernardino
Rode there this weekend. Had not been out there in years. The place is best suited for play riding. It is a bit rocky and whooped out in some places, but if you are local and want a place where you don't have to do a long drive, it is ok. I am not sure if the area is actually "legal", but I don't know anybody who has ever been run out of there!! You can also access national forest roads 2N40 and 2N30 (both legal OHV routes) which run up the mountainside toward Crestline.
To get there, exit the 215 at University Parkway, and go east. Turn left at Northpark Blvd (at the entrance to the campus), and go up and over the large flood control berm (get some air if you dare!!!). Northpark turns into Devil's Canyon Rd. after the berm. Take the dirt road to the right. Go up about a mile, and there are areas you can stage from.
