We are heading down to the clearwater national forest. We are hooking up wiht my parents in pierce then heading up to my dad's "hunting camp" So in theory we will be doing some 4 wheel camping as we have a tent. But my parents have a trailer so we will get to shower WOOHOO!!! OUr daughter will also get to ride her new 50 we got her!!

Anywho--hope everybody has a safe weekend!!

Trying to break into W. Montana...I just hooked up with a rider outside of Missoula. Says you can see every kind of wildlife imaginable in those parts...including Grizzly. Good thing I got a fast bike this time....and a hand gun! There just seems to be so many riders in Idaho, ecspecially out of Wallace....thats what I am trying to stay away from. This is where I am going to spend some time: plumbing the back trails of western Montana. Why not, It's just right down the road!

 

With gas prices climbing, Montana is Waaaaay to far for me. There is so much riding to be done in the coeur d'alene national forest, you could explore there for years and still get lost.

By the way,,I just worked my last 3 day week. from now on I only work two 12 hour shifts per week. yeeeehaaaa!!!!!!!

 

looks like your up early Pastor.....Time for me to go play in the mud....This toy box is going to be nice once I can get past the foundation....ran in to solid rock yesterday that will require bringing home a breaker.....but were getting closer...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Ya Jay I drive 2 hrs all winter long to find the big stuff to climb.....when it come to quading I like to stay closer to the roost...but ...with that being said ....camping trips are another story....let me know when you plan a trip Pastor...hope I can make it the next 6-8 weeks are lookin kinda full....

does anyone else make a good WATERPROOF tent that easy to put up and take down?? I saw the one in Caballas ...the Alaskin guide modle..kinda spendy but I think you get what you pay for when it come to tents...

wish I could just sleep in today....worked all weekend...I need some time to play....Im thinkin the mud is pretty deep right now....

Explored some new territory again this weekend. Went to the Benewah area on FRiday. Packed the atvs with camping gear and took off. Rode about 15 miles before we made camp next to the St. Maries river. The weather was great on FRiday, but Saturday It rained like cats and dogs. Good thing we planned on comming home that day any how. Found a great spot for the campers, but from the direction we came in it was not possible. Sunday Chris took his pick-up to try to find a different way in, but to no avail, all roads were blocked.

 

I'm heading up past Fernan lake in the morning to camp out for a couple days. I'll be up by horse haven landing strip. there's a warming shed near there we will camp by.

 

sounds fun Jay....I wish I could get this garage done so I can think about getting out and playing with you guys...have fun and take lots of pics!
