I'm not kidding about how that thing runs. No matter whether we started from a dead stop, or from 20mph and hit it, the king quad walked off from my Rincon instantly. If you are on pavement, or some other very good traction getting ground, you can put that thing in low range and it will gladly flip right over backwards without even pulling back on the handlebars. Top end, bottom end, it's got it all. I've got some nice pics of me doing wheelies on the grass landing strip up by the magee ranger station. Just sit there in low, nail the throttle, and a second or so later you are letting off or you are flipping over. I put it up on the back tires and rode a wheelie for about 70 feet, no problem. I wannit I wannit I wannit I wannit.

I can get a big bore kit for my Rincon for about $400, and it would take about five times that to sell my 03 Rincon and pay for a new king quad. I'm thinking big bore kit here I come!! Can't let the old man walk on me THAT hard and get away with it now can I?

JaydeeCoy....I know what you are saying! The K.Q. is a monster. You better be careful though...there are some characters around this good thread who for some unseen, unknown and unfounded reason are mysteriously against any of the accolades that this machine is recieving. I guess you and I will have to stick around and help these guys ...see the light!

Brand loyalty, and herd mentality. Moooo

I was at the Cascade Inn Sunday and there were about 40 or so quads there. Two Hondas, one Suzuki, no Yamahas, no Kawasakis. We rode in on the Hondas and the lone Suzuki. Now back in 1993, I purchased a brand new Polaris Sportsman 350, (biggest one they made) because I read up on things and bought what they said was best. A few years later I bought a 1995 400 Explorer, Polaris still being the way to go. That did not make me brand loyal. My buddies who stayed with Polaris have become bonafide experts on fixin stuff though I can tell you. They wouldn't trade their sportsmans for anything, and they know how to fix everything on them. I wonder why? Now as for my Hondas,,,I have no idea how to even get the plastic off the thing. Never needed to.

Glad to see the ol’ computer is up and running again Ragged, I was wondering about all them blank messages you kept leaving!!!
A group of eight of us did the Santa, Idaho Poker Run Sat. No dust at all, but plenty of mud. A really nice area to ride and a lot of friendly people along the way. I’ve never seen mud like that stuff, I thought I’d just hose it off with the garden hose Sunday, not a chance, I had to de-winterize my pressure washer to even begin to blast it off. Niskibum said he first started by peeling it off like an orange and he filled up a whole wheel barrow before he even started spraying his machine.
Now that I’ve got a few poker runs under my belt for the season, the wife and I are ready to do some “camp and rides” before it gets too hot and dusty.
Pictures of the Santa ride are
here

The family and I went for a ride on Saturday. Back to the Laird Park area again. Can't believe we didnt get rained on! It was enjoyable not having a "guide" and having to navigate trails that we had never seen before. One thing that is almost a garnetee is there are enough trails that you dont have to back track the entire trail. When we were trying to find our way, we did take a couple of dead end roads, and had to back track, but the majority of the day we enjoyed new to us views. Did not even see any other riders. Not even another tire track.
