In a word, No.

OHVs are prohibitted in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Gatlinburg is surrounded by the park.

I've heard of some riding on the NC side of the mountians just North of the GSM, but haven't been there. Most of the riding in TN is in state forests, wildlife management areas and on private land.

I just got back from a trip to Tellico Plains and stayed in Gatlinburg to please the wife. It was a long 90 miles to the parking area from Gat. I wouldn't do it again. I believe it would be closer to go over the mountain to Wayehutta.
