If you are interested in heading up toward Hurley, the motel you are staying at will have a map. You can head straight east and take trail 51 up to Hurley or Go through Island lake. You are looking at about a seventy mile (one way) trip into Hurley. There are some good trails to ride around Park Falls and you will miss alot of the conjestion.
Bring head nets and bug spray. Black flies are very bad this year and they are starting to get into the biting mode. Good riding!!!!

Jiggin,
I'm familiar with the Flambeau trails system (southeast of PF - staying by Moosejaw), but not the trails around Hurley. I was planning on trailering the machines up to Hurley then riding out from there. I don't want to make the long run up to there on the machines. If Hurley will be congested then I will see if I can find another spot to launch.
I heard there are some nice waterfalls and scenery to see. The wife will like that. Any tips on where to head?

We always took trail 6 to Potato Falls which is just a little bit North of Upson. I heard that trail 6 is closed but you should be able to access this by taking trail 77. There are a couple of falls off from trail 13 which you would access off from traill 77 just before you get to Pence. I could take you there but cant explain to you how to get there. You can get a map when you get to hurley but it certainly wont show you all of the falls this area has to offer. Talk to people on the trails. You may hook up with someone who is going to some falls. Sorry I couldnt be much help.
Have a great time and ride safe.
Jigginjack is off to Hurley. This will be my last post. See you all on the trails!!

So what is the name of the rental place downtown. We are going up to hurley during July 4th weekend and want to get a rental reserved. Also are the trails marked better this year? Last year we had a hard time navigating around.
thanks,

top notch in ironwood MI, rents Polaris 4 wheelers, The place in Hurley north woods rentals no longer rents 4 wheelers. Mercer WI, has a place that rents and it's on the trails, by around the corner pub in mercer. The rally kind of sucked because of the dry conditions and all that dust and heavy ATV traffic. I have to go now and wash my bike.
