How can i get more torgue from my rhino
I'll second what Z.A.J. said about a clutch kit. A supercharger cost $4000 just for the parts, not to mention the time and expense that would have to go into tuning it. Aftermarket exhaust make very minimal improvement. A more open airbox and carb re-jetting help more than exhaust, but are still only a minor improvement. But getting the clutch to engage at a more suitable RPM can make a big difference in a Rhino's ability to get the tires turning.
On my Rhino I happen to have a Trinity sheave that comes with new clutch weights, and it made more difference than anything else I have done when it comes to being able to easily crawl over tough obstacles. Before the Rhino would bog and hesitate when trying to get up over a tall rock ledge from a dead stop. Now it will crawl over obstacles like that at almost an idle. I'm not certain what the Trinity kit actually consist of, but to me it looked exactly like a sheave from a Yamaha Grizzly and a set of lighter clutch weights. I'm sure you could buy the Grizzly sheave by itself, and the weights by themselves for less money, but I have no way of telling you how many grams the weights are, or what year/model the sheave is from. I do know that it works really well though. There are lots of other companies that also make clutch kits and sheaves for the Rhino as well, which is good, because it needs all the help it can get in the power dept.
