Should I get a warrior or a 300ex.
Hey,
well this is one of those questions that doesn't have any definite answers, but has been discussed to the moon. if you have time, do a search, and you'll find enough reading on the subject to keep you up all night.
a few pros/cons:
both have reverse, the warrior's procedure is simplier.
the warrior has a bigger motor and 1 more gear, so it's a tad faster
the 300ex probably has better handling, not that the Warrior handles bad
the warrior feels larger to me which i like
both have been around for a while so most of the kinks have been worked out of them
you can find a decent deal on either used
i faced this question a month ago. i bought a Warrior because it's a tad faster, and i found it at the right time for the right price. i think the two quads are comparable enough that it's really just up to which ever one you like better. HTH
later,
bigmac

Anyone who has ever bought a Warrior or 300EX has encountered this question and it is the same battle for every single person. It is always Warrior- more powerful and EX-better chassis
It depends on the style and conditions you plan to ride it. This is THE neverending disagreement in quad riding.

first thing i have to say it that in my opinion, the 300ex is ugly. Nothing against honda's, to be honest i think the 250ex is more attractive(dont get a 250ex)
Like everyone else said, the warrior is larger and when i had it, i felt less cramped than on my friends 300 and im 5'11. Yes the warrior is definately more powerful, but as usual, the honda handles better. The warriors handling is still pretty decent.
The warrior is wider and IMO more stable. The 300ex's reverse is very annoying, but the warriors is quirky. Both have proven themselves to be bulletproof machines.
Something i came to appreciate recently after riding with z400, 400ex, 250ex, pred, arctics, etc was that all yamahas have grease fittings! Even if you only grease those fittings every 6 months thats still better than never on a 250ex or whatever. Warrior also has better suspension. for 200 more new than a 300, IMO you get more for your money with the warrior. Good luck on your decision.
