I was just hosing my rappy off after a long ride and as usual i kept it running. For some reason i just thought it would be better to keep it running that way water wouldnt seap into things it shouldnt. Now that i think about it, would running hose water on a hot machine hurt it? im not sure what to do anymore? thanks

 

Maybe on an air cooled engine the cold water might have an effect but probably not on a liquid cooled machine. I have always wondered about the cold water on hot exhaust though.

 

yeah i dont see how cause if you do agressive trail riding and go through water the water gets alll over teh engine but i just wanted a second opinion. i appreciate it!
