Default What To Do With Fenders. Help !!

Hello all. My idiot brother who will never ride my bike again flipped my raptor on the weekend. Luckily there isn't much damage other than my rear right fender is broke underneath. The plastic is still bolted on fine but the tab that connects the two is broken off. my front fender also has a nice gouge (wrong spelling I'm sure) in it.

? 1. Rear fender should I use glue silicone or what.
? 2. Front fender should I file and sand it till it is somewhat smooth and cover it with a sticker.

I will be getting new fenders but I need to do the best I can for the time being.
Thanks all.

It was you, was'nt it?
I have "heard" a hair dryer will make that "gouge" less noticable.
You will have too fab a bracket too the frame.....or maybe use a zip tie?

I'm serious it was my brother. He bent my rim 3 weeks ago too. You think I would have learned my lesson then. Well this time I did.As for the fenders the front is pretty deep not sure about the hair dryer thing and the rear I can bolt down like originally but the tab is broke oof the fender and still mounted to the fender bracket. Thanks for the reply.

Broke my tab on rear left fender, put a small sticker over the crack and that was it. Thought about replacing it but its just not worth it. You cannot even tell on mine unless you point it out, and it has a little more play in the plastic but not too much. Some people say to use a soldering iron to weld it back have not tried it.

I just repaired the rear fender on a 93 suzuki quadrunner with marine epoxy, its like fberglass resin but stays flexible and made for plastic, I got a quart at homedepot along with some fiberglass mesh cloth and the repair came out great.

Thanks Hiram. That's the answer I was looking for. That sounds like it will work good.

I broke one of my rear tabs before too. I tried epoxy and it only held for a week and then broke again. I ended up taking off both brackets on the rear and let both sides just flap. The problem there was when I got in alot of mud they would flap way to much, looked like it was about to fly away. I ended up drilling some very small holes in the fender and in the tab and zip tied it and it has been great ever since. If you want I can run out and get some pics right now and post them. They are small and it looks good, and holds great!
