thanks my drags right now like any time I take off the line to drag race and on almost any hill that I didn't get much run at, My dad's v force out climbed me a couple of times just because he was clearing the sand with his swing arm, and I know my bike should climb anything that one does, should I go 8 paddle or 10 paddles with the 22 inch tire!!

KINGRAPTOR- you have a lot of posts on here and a lot of experience from what i have read but do you really think that a ten paddle hauler is too much for a built raptor?i have ran 8 paddle and 10 paddle on the same day on the same hill about 30 minutes apart and the ten paddle gave me a full two quad length advantage racing against the same quad so i know that it works for me.i do not have an extreme build with my raptor so with even more horsepower and torque it would seem to be an even bigger performance advantage.i am not trying to start an argument here but i thought i would at least share what has and does work for me.

I also have 10 paddle haulers on my raptor, and it does not hurt or slow my mind down at all, but I will keep it in mind when I go to a 22 inch tire, I think that maybe the sand might be a little different here in Oregon! Thanks for your help King Raptor!!

So you would probally reccomend for my bike the 22inch taller haulers with an 8 paddle and an 8 inch rim, well thanks for the help!! How about the rest of you for performance, 8 or 10 inch rim!!

are you running regular haulers or triple buff haulers? You guys are so confusing because you call them all the same, yet there is a huge difference

Well I would assume that I am running regular haulers, I just talked to Rocky Mountain ATV, and they told for a 22 inch tire and an 8 inch rim I had to get an 8 paddle, to get more paddles would I have to special order them or what!!

ok because a triple buff(ultra buff) hauler hooks much much harder then a standard hauler. I think that might be where some of the confusion is. If your running a standard hauler a 10 would be ok. If your running an ultra buff hauler an 8 or 9 paddle would be the maximum. Ive seen ultra buffs on an 8 inch wheel with up to 12 paddles before

dabeechman- i am also referring to a standard hauler in ten paddle because the lighter weight buffed tire would not hold up to the abuse that i put my tires through on trail rides.i am right now trying to decide which set of haulers i like using the most the 20" or the 21",actually the 21" measures to a full 22" with the 6 lbs of air i run in them.i use the different tires to change my gearing for different situations and although that is an expensive way to go it gives me a spare set of haulers and makes for a quick gearing change for drag racing verses trail riding.

Can someone explain to me what a "BUFF" is? What makes them different from the Hauler's or Extreme Hauler's?
