How do you get to the needle on a Warrior?
#3
Sorry I missed this post. It's easy!
Take the carb out - remove the three screwn on the TOP cover (not the float bowl). You then have to remove the single screw that attaches the slide to the throttle linkage (easy to spot). The tricky part is getting the two phillips screws off the other end of the linkage, that attaches to the slide. Anyways, once you have those three screws out (note where the little spring is located - don't lose it!), move the lnikage to the side, and the slide will lift out. The needle clip sits inside the slide. Move the clip UP to lean it out a notch - move it DOWN to richen the part-throttle mixture.
CAUTION ON THIS PARTICULAR CARB: It's VERY sensitive to float height. In fact, what some tuners think is a midrange needle problem is actually too much fuel in the floats. If you have a stumbling problem at part-throttle, could be that your floats let too heigh of a fuel level in the float bowl. refer to my other posts to adjust that. PM me if you have more specific questions - I like helping out on these carbs... -scott
