Ok guys, there is a kid at school who talks about how fast his rice burner is (2004 Acura TSX) and I was joking around one day and said that if I get a Raptor I will race him. He just laughed and said ok like I was kidding, so now I really want to race him, and beat him with a 4-wheeler. I was at the airport today with my dad sending my sister back home, and saw a magazine with the TSX in it, and the stock numbers are...

0-30 - 2.6sec.
0-40 - 4.3sec.
0-50 - 5.9sec.
0-60 - 7.9sec.
0-70 - 10.3sec.
0-80 - 13.0sec.

1/4 - 16.0sec. @ 88.8mph

Do you guys think I can beat that with a stock Raptor in the 1/4 mile? Thanks, Ryan

 

Not sure about in a 1/4 mile, but definitely you should take him until speed becomes a factor. My friend raced his stock raptor against a 5.0 Mustang and stayed ahead for about 200-300 yards. Have Fun!!!

 

Sounds good, at least then he can't say his damn FWD rice burner is the fastest thing ever... I looked around for 1/4 mile times for stock Raptors, and have found them in the 15.5's @ 75-77mph so I think I can at least be right with him at the end if all goes well. Thanks man, Ryan

 

a 16 second car is pretty slow. race him an eighth mile and you'll kill him. eat some rice for me.

 

So I guess I would be able to beat a 81 Ford 250, 351 4 speed? My buddy has one and all I hear about all day is how fast it is. It looks like I'll beat him? I just want to beat him and shut him up and rub it in his face, race will be from 1/8-1/4 mile, not exactly sure on distance but is not far,

Good, ill see if he will do the 1/8 mile, but he is one of those people that when you beat them they make up excuses, but I will still race anyhow. Just waiting for the 2004's to come out, and its on. He said he is getting it at the end of the summer, so I hope that its here in time before I move back to Texas.

dude I have a regular cab 2002 chevrolet 4X2 with the 5.3 V8
and I run 14 flat in the quarter and 0-60 in just over 6..........
I have smoked every rice burner that I have raced and I'm sure that his car wouldn't be any different......

and my raptor SMOKES my truck until about 90mph then my truck will fly past it goin bout 115........

you should have NO PROBLEM smokin dat fool!
