Pleasure4qt the Predator gave the public what it was looking for. Please please. It can't even race legally in the pro production class unless it's destroked/bored.. Say what you want about C-Dales reliabilty bankruptcy or whatever. They gave the public what it wanted w/ the MOTO440 and EFI, cassette tranny, high quality shocks, braided lines, adjust shocks, reverse cylinder, extended arms and axle, aluminum framed, gas tank down low. The Predator gave us Pro arm steering which is still in the air if it works. Anything else Polaris give us that was what we wanted. Dohc perhaps or liquid cooling or a steel frame??? The atv world was scrambling when the first pics of the Dale were released 30 months ago not last Nov.... However the Predator and Yamaha are all good for the sport..

Hey, I got a suggestion, why not give the YFZ450 a chance to prove itself before you go tearing it apart. I'm sure that it will have problems, as all other quads have. If it tanks, so be it, thats life. Is it me, or did anyone else notice that most of these haters are non-Yamaha owners? This is a Yamaha forum, why would we not get excited when Yamaha comes out with a new sport quad?

What are you talking about ? Its obivious that you must have been born after the conscent decree, maybe you get excited with all the new utility quads, or performance quads that are over 15 years. How could you even print anything like this? 91 lt 250r, WOW, thats alot to be excited about, almost as exciting as my 82 ATC 250R.

I think the 450 will be a very strong running bike right out of the box and I think it will be hard to beat. I think the handleling is what everyone may be wanting to know. If i was a betting man i would say yamaha looked at this very closely before making this bike and it will handle just as good or maybe even better than anyhting currently out. I think some hate to see this bike being produced because they know it is a good probaility that it will outdo any bike being produced. Me personally would love to have one and I hope it does all I expect it to do and who knows: it may even outrun my Raptor with some upgrades. Slim

They want to talk about excitement? Remeber when the Predator web site came out and everyone on the Polaris forum hoped it was a Polaris? There were hundreds of threads about it once it was announced it was a Polaris...so why wouldn't Polaris blind followers be excited? It was their first decent sport/race quad made. It's always exciting when a new quad comes out
