Default Blaster trouble

Hey guys,

My buddy has a blaster that isn't running worth a darn. He says he's stroked and bored it, and it used to run like a raped ape, but now when he gets it started, it wont rev above about 2000 rpms, and is gutless as hell.

He's tried new CDI units, checked the muffler for obstructions, tried all different kinds of temp ranges on his plug, and they are all light tan colored when he pulls them...

It sounds to me like it's missing every other fire, like a rev limiter or something, but he's tried another CDI... So I don't know. Anyone have a simmilar problem?

Thanks

sounds like the T.O.R.S system on the carb is acting up. Its a saftey to supposibly save you if the throttle sticks but in most cases it just starts acting up and making it not run past idle. Its not very hard to fix but i dont remeber how to do it, do a search on TORS Removal or Blaster TORS because people have explained how to remove it before.

I have never heard of a "stroked" blaster. Could you please explain this to me?

IF the TORS does not work try to clean out the carb.

Uhm, maybe my terminology is wrong, he said it has a longer rod... I don't know much about his mods though...He could be full of crap too for all I know, I've never seen the thing run. .

I'll look into the TORS thing. Thanks

I talked to my buddy, and he's already disabled the TORS system...Even has a new carb top on it to replace the TORS one... Any other ideas?
