Default 2001 Wolverine Rear Rack Bolts

Can anyone provide info on the size of bolts etc. that are needed to install the rear rack on a 2001 Wolverine. I just bought the Wolverine and the previous owner had removed the rack. I called two local Yamaha dealers and they claim the Microfiche does not show the rack or bolts. The second dealer thought they were probably 10 or 12 mm but didn't know the length.

My Atv's are stored a couple hours away so I can't just use the trial and error method and hope to get the correct bolts for the trip this weekend. Any help would be appreciated!

Thats pretty stupid of the dealer, but not unusual. Its going to use two of the bolts that go in the rear grab bar that attach it to the frame and its also going to have two more that are a different size ans have nuts on the end that connect the rack to the grab bar itself. I will send microfiche to you for the grab bar. It has two of them that you need on the link. For the other two, any two will work that fit through the hole on the rack as long as you have a nut that will go on the other end of it. Do you have a rack to put on it?

Copy and paste that address and its part number 6.

I new someone would help! I'm heading up north this weekend and I'll take a bolt out of the rear bar and measure up the the size for the other two bolts. It figures that I would get a better answer from a fellow Wolverine'r than two dealers. I got a great deal on the clean 2001 Wolverine with lots of extras: Complete skid plate, boot covers, original wheels and new set of tires, set of 25" wheels w/mudders, warn winch, and moose plow (and original racks). I got it all for the same price as the dealer wanted for a used 2001.

Thanks for the response!

Thats awsome man, sounds like you made out pretty good on that one. Remember that the other two bolts will be different than the ones in your grab bar. I havent had a rack on mine for so long that i cant remember if it uses the bolts that you already have on the grab bar or not, they are all the same bolt anyway so you are safe with the first two. The other two on mine have nuts on the end of them, actually you could use anything for them. Good luck with your Wolverine.

Thanks again for the help SpDdEmOn. I put the rack on this weekend and went riding abit. The previous owner also had installed an aftermarket foam padded seat on the rear rack which has zipper pockets on the side - works well for passengers. I ended up using the bolts from the front rack (don't plan on reinstalling it) for the two bolts that go around the grab rack.

I checked some prices from the RivaYamaha online link for some other parts. I was looking at replacing a both headlight guards and lens and the prices were $28 ($18 after S/H) cheaper than the dealer in Wisconsin. Have you ever purchased from them?

Thats awsome man. Glad to hear that you got it on there ok. Yeah alot of times they are cheaper than the local dealers. Yeah I bought a new set of red fenders from RivaYamaha when I was changing the color from White to Red. I believe it ships from Florida. I was completely satisfied with it.

For stock replacement part i suggest NCY Yamaha. THe more you order the more discount you get.

You should be fully satisfied with your wolvy, and i like the seat idea... it sounds pretty trick.
