Grizzly Gas mileage
#1
I am getting about 15 mpg for my 03-660 while riding mixed trails and hard top.
I was wondering if anyone else tracks their mileage too.
Heck, I guess the upside is that it gets a higher mpg than either of my two trucks.

I just got back from a riding trip in North Central Pennsylvania. I rode 125 miles in two days in the Susquehannok State Forest land in Potter County. I am riding a 2003 Yamaha Grizzly 660 and decided to check the gas mileage. Boy, was I ever impressed for this machine. These trails are mostly two lane logging roads that are maintained by the Bureau of Forestry Dept. I was averaging speeds of 20-30 mph and didn't do any hossin' into it. On the way home from the mountains, I stopped and filled her up with gas. I ended up getting 26.5 mpg. This is one awesome ride. Thanks Yamaha!

uhhhhh, i dont even know how to respond. i've got 75 miles on my bike i know ive filled it up at least 3 times. lets see 15 gallons and 75 miles. uhhh??????? 5mpg. i think you guys are a LITTLE off. 26.5mpg x 5 gallons=132.5 miles per tank, you must be kidding.

Sorry, mudsfun. But the odometer and gas station readings do not lie. It had 73.9 miles on the trip odometer and it took exactly 2.8 gallons to fill it up. Do the math and u get 26.4 mpg. Mine Grizzly is almost a year old even though it is a 2003 and has 425 miles on it. So it is past being broken in.

If my bike isn't full throttle on steep grades/ jumps, it is idiling at a stand still and it still gets 15 mpg. I do believe if one were frugal with the beast they could eaisly obtain 20+mpg.
