Does anyone know how the port design is on the yfz. Just wondering if there is much power to be had by porting. Yes, I am a power freek. My wife can't stand it.

Ummmm...you don't "port" a 4-stroke, you modify the head & maybe change a cam. Pro Circuit does motorwork for the CRF & YZF motorcycles & they don't touch the cylinder..which is only about 3 inches tall....most of the motor that you see above the cases is the head. I'm sure that they will be offering motorwork for these YFZ quads anyday now..since it's almost the same motor as the bikes have.

You dont port a 4-stroke huh. I know the cylinder does not have ports but the head is still ported to improve flow. Sparks racing said this is where you get big hp gains from.

Yeah...I guess you could say port the head but all I've ever heard it called was to " flow" the head.
