Ran my grizz with a tach today, pulls hard up to 53 mph then slowly climbs to 64.At 64 mph, rpm is 7000, yamaha states that max power is at 5500 rpm, does this mean that my belt is slipping or the clutchs are shifted out? How can I bring my rpms down,or is it at ists best

Max power just means the RPMs at which the horsepower is at its highest. you need the 7000RPMs to maintain your top speed. Some race quads have RPMs that top 11,000 and higher. it is just the specific power curve that your motor has and the type of components in the motor that determines this. Your CDI is the main factor in keeping the RPMs under a certain limit in order to meet the tolerences of the specific parts of the factory motor.
