hey whats up. have any of you guys have this problem before. its a yamaha banshee, and some times the throttle sticks wide open when i am driving the bike . the thumb throttle comes all the way back like if the bike were shut off, you can take your thumb off the throttle completly and it reves sky high and you usually cant get it to stop untill you shut off the bike. i put one of those eliminater kits on so that the two big things on top of the carburater got eliminated and just a new throttle cable. had that on for a couple of years but no problems till about 4 months ago. there is 2 little tapered screws on the carburators, one screw on each carb. and the carb slides stays in between that screw. they both are loose, would this have anything to do with it. some one said that it might. thanks.

 

My brother has problems with his Banshee since he got the TORS eliminators. Basically when it's cold or when the humidity is high is when the worst of the problems show up. No specific fix for it at the moment.

 

Check your intake boots also. If there not sealed good and or cracked it will cause the same problem.

 

did you recently get new grips? See if that is holing onto your thumb throttle,

Just curious how cracked or leaking intake boots would have an effect on the throttle sticking. I could see that if there was a vacuum leak but that's not the case with my brother's bike. The throttles are definetely sticking!!
