I live in Blackfoot ID which is an hour away from st anthony and I have seen a lot of raptors make it up. If you are piped and running good you should not have a problem. The runs next to it are where the challenge is at, they are steeper and you cant get a run at them.

I love it. The bracket broke and it pissed me off but I had someone fix it up with a steel bracket because the stock aluminum snapped. Other than that I have yet to be beat by another piped raptor.

Always hate it when something stock breaks on these things, especially header bolts. If you've never been beat by a piped Raptor, sounds like you got a heck of a setup and are a heck of a rider. I need to work on take offs, but then I don't race alot, just my riding buddy who has an alien, no lid and 17 uni vents in his box. For some reason, he can't beat me, oh well, it's all good and fun.
Take care, happy trails to you.

I dont race much either but when I do I kinda get into it. Do you launch it 1st or 2nd? I usually launch in 2nd and have to feather the clutch to keep the front end down. When you planning your next trip to the dunes? Well have fun and keep practicin.

You can always got out of the bottom if you don't make it. Just be sure to bury the back tires so you don't watch your ride roll to the bottom. A raptor that is piped and jetted right will easily make it. Just be sure to be in the gear you want, don't be doing a lot of shifting. For a real challenge run some of the side shoots. No room to turn unless you want in the bushes( been there). I haven't been to glamis, but these have got to be the biggest dunes in the country, and it isn't just choke cherry, the baby(thunder mtn) is a monster, the bigger bowls(dead horse, and the one with the garbage can-don't know its name just call it the garbage bowl, and devils dune are unbelievable.
