I think Ford was doin a damn good job keeping up (if not beating) chevys big bad 350 on their 281, but now that the crumero is out of the picture what more can u want from a stang? the 03 svt cobra will most likely take a z06 at the track..yea its supercharged but its also only a 281. Im not sayin the z06 is slow its just overpriced for what it is. Ive never lost a race on R to a car from stupid little coffee cans to trans-ams.

Camaro stopped using the 350 about 4 years ago when they went to the LS1. The 03 GT is awesome but I have not seen one beat a Z06 stock for stock yet. Yeah, there is a big difference in price between the stang and the vette but not as big a dif as there was between the 02 Z28 and the 03 GT (they were on the market at the same time). I really like the pics I've seen of the 2005 stang. They did a retro thing and it looks like an old fastback. They did a good job, not like the crappy t-bird. Shelby is back with Ford and there will probably be a Shelby Cobra in 2006. This likely will be priced above the vette. They are also looking at making two models between the base and Shelby and one of those may bring back the Boss name. The Shelby will have IRS and OVER 500hp right from the showroom floor. When I bought my 35th anniv. Camaro I thought I would have it forever but if I gotta sell it to get a nasty old 500 hp "stock" mustang, I will.

I hate to sell mine and I'll probably get another someday but I think I'll get the 2+2. I have a wife and kid now and I can never drive it with just two seats. I think the z is one of the classiest cars ever made and another good thing is domestic guys have always had kind of respect for it, at least the looks of it. Also the ricers still claim it as their own and domestic guys don't really call it a ricer like they do other japaneese cars. I don't know why maybe because it's similar to the camaro which I think z was the originator for the design change to the camaro. Everybody loves that Maco Shark look. I like the new z's but I'm probably biased because I still think mine looks better. Oh I'm selling mine for $4500 but I think I've got a guy who is already committed to buying it.

Mine has the high dollar Eagle/JE rotating assembly, it's really way too much for the stock block. Torque is not a problem with this car, traction is!

I haven't dyno'd it yet, but the car runs 12.0 @ 114 on the motor w/Nittos and 10.6 @ 126 w/150hp NX kit on slicks. The cool thing is, it still has every option it came from the factory with and looks bone stock. The guy in a Viper/911/Z06/Supra doesn't suspect a thing until he's watching taillights disappearing quickly!

Them are some impressive numbers, 347. Wish I could stick one of those together for mine.
