Ive had my bike for over a year and ive never used a helmet. I always thought it was ridiculous to pay so much for a helmet. The cheapest helmet my dealer has is over $170. A teenage girl fell of a bike and died on the spot a couple months ago. She broke her neck and died instantly. She wasnt even going fast. Its pretty sad when something like that happens. It opened my eyes about wearing a helmet. Does anybody know where I can get a cheap helmet.

Dont know what kind of place your looking for. Here is what I found. A place in Iuka, Mississippi named Dales sells helmets for about 60 bucks. He is a small local shop that buys helmets in bulk. Here is is phone number. 1-662-423-6699. It might be worth the shipping charge to buy from him.

Fullmer makes a great looking helmet for just over $100

 

AFX makes DOT and Snell95 approved helmets for just under $100.

My bro has a Silver Fulmer Helmet he bought for $99.99 from our dealer. Quite possibly the best looking and most solid, well-built helmet ive seen for under 100 bucks. Pretty light weight too, well-ventilated and padded, removable-washable liner, good buckle. Pretty d*mn good helmet. Looks good with his silver FOX riding jacket too. I might get one to use 4X4'ing, instead of using my SVR2... Look around for the Fulmers, they are great.

How much do you think your head is worth?? You might not get good value from a fifty dollar hemet, ever see an egg break? I've seen helmets come apart too, talk about ugly.

Mine's worth more than fifty bucks, you might check out M2R helmets. Any dealer that carries the PartsUnlimited catalog can order them.

I got one with killer graphics for $145. It's really light weight as well.
