Does anyone know where I can purchase a rebuild kit for the fuel pump on a 1985 TriZ 250? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Wasn't that one of the greatest ideas yamaha ever had? Build a fuel hungry 2 stroke with the tank lower than the carb so a few pump is needed. Then, use a cheap fail **** pump so when it goes out and you are reving your engine high, it leans out and blows up.

Anyway, I think I would go with a different style pump. Such as the one that FTZ offers for their alky engines. Look to www.ftzracing.com under the micro sprint section or call them at 573-334-5439. It would be cheaper than rebuilding yours, they are proven, and ftz stocks rebuild kits.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I will definately be giving them a call. Yamaha only sells the fuel pump as a complete item and it's kinda pricy.
