Pressure washing?
#22
Sometimes I use the pressure washer at the local coin-op car wash. But usually I wash it by hand with a cotton rag and a sponge. It takes 2-3 hours to do it really good. I take off all the plastic and wash that by hand first, then wash the rest of the quad. Then I stand it on end to get a different perspective and clean all the little places I missed. Then I dry it with a soft cotton towel and put it back together and start it up. I let it idle for awhile to burn off all the water that may have gotten into the exhaust.
Sounds like fun, doesn't it!

I used to pressure wash mine at the car wash, seemed alittle harsh, now I wash her with love, a lambs wool mit, gentle spray hose, dry with the leaf blower, and lemon pledge her, then tuck her in on her side of the garage, yes she has half of the two car garage!!!

owners manual is gonna say NO NO NO
pressure can force water under the seals and youll have water in bearings you arent even aware of.
i use 1 tbsp simple green in a squirt bottle of water. then a gentle rinse. simple green even makes the tires look new.
no pressure needed.

Last time I used one on mine it wouldnt crank for about 30 minutes. Probably just a freak accident though. All the rest of the times ive done it nothing happened. Just make sure you set the nozzle on that wide not hard setting and avoid stickers.

I have a 2400 psi pressure washer. I use it to clean all of my quads. I usually put it on the widest spray when cleaning any of my atvs, since I dont wanna mess anything up. I noticed it does get a lot more mud, and dirt out than the garden hose, which is why I like to use it. The only thing is , yoou have to be very careful around the decals. The only problem I ran into was when I was cleaning my old t wolf, and I was trying to get something off of the tire. I had it too concentrated and the water made a hole in the tire! Because of this I keep the pressure washer about 2 feet away and use widest spray when cleaing! To this date, I have had NO problems
BTW- What parts of the atv should I keep away from when using the pressure washer?
