Pressure washing?
#1
After riding at my friends house with me on my grizzly 600, him on a bayou, and someone i didnt know on a honda 300ex, when they stopped riding and got ready to clean there quads up...I noticed they where using a very high powered pressure washer, and i am just wondering...wont that force water into the electrical and engine? I didnt pressure wash mine...I rode home and washed it with a garden hose. I own a pressure washer and i have throught of using it but how much is the risk of messing something up?

I don't use them just because I want to be sure no water is getting into the electrical, etc. It even says in the manual no to use them. So, just to be safe, I would stick with the good 'ol garden hose.

I use mine after EVERY ride. Keeps the engine looking nice, and honestly its the only way to get you bike CLEAN. You can wash it with a garden hose, and then I could go back over it with a pressure washer and I gurante there will be some mud hiding out somewhere!

you just have to be smart about it. For example, don't put it on full throttle and then put on a 0 degree nozzle and spray from about 6 inches from the quad, not smart. I use a pressure washer all the time and have had no problems,

As the others said, just be careful.
i bought an electric one just FOR the quads.
Just be careful where you concentrate the stream and keep it on a wider setting.
If the bike is really dirty or muddy,I spray the grimiest parts with Castrol Super Clean and then wash it off.
it makes it a lot easier.
