I think the new Dodges have a 70k mile powertrain warranty, but the last generation and all before them had awful automatic transmissions.

 

I bought my Dakota new in 97' and just hit 120000miles and only replaced water pump and brakes the whole way around. I test drove a Hemi and they run like a raped ape. Im sorry but no Ferd or Chivy is gonna mess with 350hp and 380ft/lbs. Ill be driving one soon. The new Nissan Titan look like there gonna be a solid truck to. 300/375 5.6 litre but I personally wouldn't own one.

 

I just turned my leased dakota back in, never gave me any problems but for some reason I never liked it at all. I went and paid cash for a late model bronco and I happier than a pig in chit. I always been a ford man, could never get passed the chevy inferior interior and I know way too many dodge mechanics who work VERY long hours if that tells ya anything.

 

The Duramax only has one major downfall. It's made in Japan by ISUZU. So much for Chevy Thunder. They can't even make their own diesal. Oh wait, they did. I believe it was the 6.5 turbodiesal. Otherwise known as the biggest oil leaking, underpowered turd engine ever made. At least Ford(International Harvester) and Dodge(Cummins) kept their trucks American.

 

Chevy/GMC also have the bad a$$ Allison tranny!! Ford has their new one and they're starting to have major problems with them allready. Take a look under the hood of any "American" made vehicle and tell me what's "American" on them, nothing but the labor!! Foreign parts assembled in America..........

Propane adds alot of power and tourque, I have an adjustable orofice so I can turn it down for improving mileage or crank it up for about 100 more HP.. Good clean burning fuel.
