Default No 2nd Gear

My 01 Raptor just dropped second gear, its like a second nuetral. Is this what is meant when people say the tranny's "fail"?? Should I just have a stock second gear put in it or is it worth it to get a Sparks or Alba entire tranny?

I have heard of their trannys tearing up too, if you were to get a new stock second gear, i would tear out the reverse key so you wouldnt be tempted to use it because thats what tore it up in the first place. you MIGHT lose a gear though from using the reverse be4 though, but im not pos.

yeah thats it, you can check out my site, raptortranny.com it has alot of info on how to fix it. Its always 2nd gear like a second nuetral or a locking up altogether.

To upgrade you have to replace most of the transmission, the kits contain everything you need usually.
